About Course
- The Gastrointestinal (GI) course is designed to provide medical students with a comprehensive understanding of the digestive system and its disorders including clinical management of diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, including the liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
- Students will explore a wide range of conditions, from common issues like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) to more complex diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hepatitis, and gastrointestinal cancers.
- The course emphasizes evidence-based approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and patient care and by the end of the course, students will have gained critical insights into managing gastrointestinal health and will be equipped with the knowledge to navigate the challenges of treating GI disorders in clinical practice.
